{"id":51,"date":"2019-05-14T10:44:04","date_gmt":"2019-05-13T22:44:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cliowrite.com\/?page_id=51"},"modified":"2023-06-06T17:22:57","modified_gmt":"2023-06-06T05:22:57","slug":"welcome-to-cliowrite","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cliowrite.com\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p>Welcome to my site in homage to Clio, Muse of History and daughter of Zeus and Mnesomyne, goddess of memory.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the function of a Muse to inspire creativity, and I cheerfully acknowledge Clio&#8217;s influence in my writing of historical <strong><em>FACTION<\/em><\/strong>, or historical fiction based upon fact.<\/p>\n<p>Fact, as they say, is often stronger than fiction, because people-strong, weak, ordinary, extraordinary and just plain peculiar-are at the centre of history&#8217;s events, and its stories need to reflect that if the stories are to be credible.\u00a0So, I tell the stories that Clio has recorded.
